I am a consumer-obsessed brand builder and a storyteller. My work allows me to flex my left and right brain to be a creative, strategic, and big-picture thinker. I blend my personal interests in design, art, and architecture with my professional world and encourage my teams to do the same. I've learned that getting outside of work often produces the best product.
I've had to learn to be a thoughtful people manager. It is a massive responsibility that no one teaches you, and you have to tumble a little bit before you value the position. My untraditional career path has proven helpful in fostering and building collaborative, diverse, and productive teams.
I wish I could say I dove into my career with a master plan, but that would be a lie. I've been lucky. I've worked with some wonderful people and for large global brands and early-stage start-ups, which have skyrocketed into success. I take none of what I've done for granted and count my lucky stars daily for having had the career I have had so far.
Outside of work, I am a mother to a wonderfully curious three-year-old named Maeve. In the best way possible, she rocked my world the day she arrived. I want to work for her, contribute to our family, and show her it's possible, though it often feels impossible, to continue to work as a mom and have a fulfilling life outside of our home. I'll let you know how it goes.
I believe the key to loving what you do is not taking anything too seriously. It's nice to meet you.
